After 2 years of Covid-19 restrictions and struggles, The Sherwood Group supports The Melbourne House again.
The Sherwood Group supports Melbourne House in various ways. This includes the ongoing project involving the production of Christmas charity cards FOC for the care home to help raise funds for its residents. This is a project that The Sherwood Group have been taking part in for over 5 years.
In early October, Trayce Pullen, Activities Coordinator at Melbourne House Care Home, collected the cards from Luana Patinha, Marketing Assistant at The Sherwood Group. This project was initiated to aid in providing a magical and special Christmas for residents and families, when funding and budgets do not allow for such expenses during the festive season.
Luana Patinha commented: “As a company we truly value our community and do what we can to help. We are so very pleased to be helping Melbourne House and picking up where we left off before the pandemic. We are keen to offer our support and professional assistance to aid their fundraising activities.”
Sherwood worked alongside the staff and residents of The Melbourne House to print packs of Christmas cards. The cards are designed by the residents themselves, using scraps of different materials shaped into different festive designs and pictures. The artwork is scanned and retouched before being printed, cut and folded into the finished product by The Sherwood Group. The cards printed onsite are packed FOC by KMD company and envelopes are supplied by Envenco. (Cards pictured below)
The cards are given to the care home, free of charge, ready to be sold and used for fundraising efforts. All the proceeds made go directly to The Melbourne House and its residents.
Trayce Pullen added: “They are amazing people with amazing morals on how to give back to the community. We can’t thank them enough.”
The Sherwood Group are extremely proud to be part of a brilliant cause and look forward to this project each year.
